In the Classic list, three questions are about what you feel for them: attraction, admiration and affection.
Attraction: the spark
Attraction is the physical and romantic pull that makes someone more than a friend: desire, chemistry, wanting to touch. It rises and falls over the years, but when some of it stays, it keeps a relationship playful.
Admiration: looking up to them
Admiring someone means looking at their character, their mind, their courage or the way they move through the world, and being impressed. When you admire a partner, their successes make you happy rather than competitive.
Affection: the warmth
If attraction is heat and admiration is light, affection is the steady warmth of everyday life: easy smiles, hugs, reassurance. Looking at all three together shows whether what you feel is balanced, or resting mostly on attraction.
